Our Favourite Ways to Indulge in Holy Fudge
You may be familiar with our new chocolate dip, Holy Fudge. It’s a chocolatey, creamy, healthy spread/dip made from chickpeas, cocoa, tahini, coconut milk, and a touch of sweetener. Don’t fear the chickpeas though: they actually have a surprisingly mild flavour, and any chickpea-y flavour is surpassed by the creamy chocolate anyhow. We originally wrote about how to enjoy Holy Fudge in our first blog (where we mostly encourage you to eat it by the spoonful), but now we’re taking it to the next level with these dishes: our favourite ways to indulge in Holy Fudge.
Our Favourite Ways to Indulge in Holy Fudge
- French Toast. Next time you’re making a batch of this decadent brunch, try topping it with fresh berries and our healthy spread. Nutel…what?
- As icing. Anytime you make a batch of your favourite cupcakes or cookies, try replacing a classic sugar-laden icing with our healthier alternative, Holy Fudge. Your kids (and your teeth) will love it.
- Ice cream. Having a sundae Sunday? Try heating up Holy Fudge and using it as a chocolate sauce. Your kids won’t know the difference. To up your health game even more, try using a coconut milk-based ice cream.
- As a chia pudding. This is a great way to liven up a classic chia pudding recipe. Simply mix a 1Tbsp of Holy Fudge with a splash of your favourite nut milk until it’s creamy, and place that at the bottom of your pudding cup or bowl. Next, make your pudding. On top of the chocolatey paste, mix 1 Tbsp chia seeds with approx. 1 cup of nut milk. Stir in some vanilla, cinnamon, a hint of maple syrup and a touch of sea salt. Let sit for 30 minutes or overnight and enjoy!
- Dip fruit in it. This is a classic but it’s one of our favourites. We like it almost as much as we do by the spoonful.
Think of Holy Fudge as an alternative to that sugar-dense chocolate spread of your childhood. Simply use it as you would Nutella! You could also try it in banana bread, brownies, stuffed in doughnuts, or in cookies. Here are our favourite ways to enjoy it – do you have any other ideas for how to eat Holy Fudge? If so, please share! We’d love to hear about your creations.
